Summer time
Thank God for sunshine, heat and SUMMER. It is not as hot as I would like (Mombasa, White Sands, the Indian Ocean !!! Sigh)
I do not have to wear a heavy sweater or coat. This rose is grateful to God for this season. This is the season where I sit in the sunshine and collect as much warmth as I can in preparation for the rains and dark clouds of the autunm.
Oh yes, I miss home very much.

It's funny how that seems to work. The kind of place where you grew up as a child, especially its scenery and climate, often remains the prototype of beauty, and always carries with it that sense of home.
I am looking forward to the autumn - I love the autumn, hate the winter and can't stand the heat in London in the summer.
Having said that, I enjoy not having to wear heavy sweaters or coats.
its freezing here,not very nice trust me.cold,chilly, grey and gloomy...talk about having bad moods! U wake up in the morning its sad! lunch time its sad!!!
Paul: It is true, when I think of home, it is not our present home, but that home of my childhood
Mshairi: autumn is good because of the changes in the trees, but can't stand the constant London rain.
Nick: I should feel sorry for you guys, seeing you are not used to the chilly stuff, but I shall not. (sorry nephew)
Poi: yes, I am collecting as much heat as I can - roses hibernate in the winter don't they?
I'd take winter anytime over this Texas heat -woooiiii!
Ebu stop making me jealous! It is freezing here! I am wearing fur and looking so out of place. I miss heat and sun! I am with the 'nephew'....
@Mshairi - love autumn too!
Dont try to come home especially in Nai but try Kisumu or Mombasa..
Nai we are dooing 17 and below maximum and have not seen the sunshine only cold and lots of fog and mist i envy you sitting under the sunshine.....
You see we are never happy with what we have, what with the Texan wishing for winter, the Poet waiting for autumn and the Kenyans who have never felt actual cold wishing for the sun again.
