Autumn blues

When this time of the year rolls along, my entire being begins the process of hibernation. This is my least favourite season. 'Tis the season the leaves fall off the trees, making ghosts of trees limbs (nevermind the fact that the leaves turn all sorts of beautiful colours before they fall off). This is the season birds fly away, insects die, creatures hibernate and the clouds hide the sky. Roses die off and are pruned at this time of the year. It is the season of rain, rain, grey clouds, rain and more rain.

It is my season for introspection. So if I am not at my blog frequently, it is because I am hiding in my bed and wishing that all my nephews and nieces were rich enough to buy me that cottage in Nyali Beach and keep me in the style to which I would love to get used to.

Well, its my first time to visit your blog. Its great. To most of us fall season is enough indicator that winter is already knocking.Canadian fall is sometimes reffered as winter prep.I am even feeling chilly just mentioning the word WINTER.GRRRRRRR.

Fall is an unwelcome season to me bcoz it ushers in that nasty, snow-filled (we have snow for 4 long months!) winter. I notice I hate fall so much I don't even take pic of the coloured leaves, tsk, tsk! Will try this year though.
-My state is just a few hrs drive from Canada & we're already seeing the birds going South. Will make the best of this fall & winter though.
Yes, keep asking & that Nyali mansion is all yours. You deserve it:)

Auntie, I feel you on the fall season - I felt sad when I saw yesterday that they are 'removing' the flowers around St. Pauls Cathedral - that is my 'bliss' when I am going to work in the morning!

I wish you a beautiful spring - dont hybernate too much, we need to read good stuff off you once in a while.
As for that Mansion - does a Smile contribution help?

Akiey: I only like snow falling when I am inside my overheated duvet!!
Nakeel and Guess: I know your prayers will help in seeing the beauty of fall. I will blog (can't stop!!)

Autumn hmm! Like Sandman I cant relate. Am still in Kenya where bad weather is when the cops come out to play with uni students. Then it rains stones, tear gas, "rubber bullets" and the occasional water canon.
But I shall hold u in the warm place of my heart

Its weird, I come alive in the fall, my favorite season of all. Just feel like the earth is taking a break too..I don't like the humidity of summer..The fall brings with it cooler weather, crisp mornings, I dare say better fashion in boots and coats and scarves- I like lighting the fireplace..sharing wine with friends around it..Then comes Christmas, and New Years- my fav holiday(after my bday ofcourse)..Love it, Love it, love it.
Although this season, there's no one around for the cuddles..unless..hmm
